Liturgy On The Occasion Of Dying

The following liturgy may be used in the absence of a pastor to comfort a person who is dying. Relatives and friends of the dying may gather around the bed and read one or all of the following Scriptures.

Psalm 23

"The Lord is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow

of death,

I will fear no...
