The Roman Catholic Sunday liturgy, the Mass, or more properly, the Eucharist, is composed of two primary parts: the Liturgy of the Word, which is concerned primarily with the reading of Scripture, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which is centered on the prayer of thanksgiving and Communion.
