Confession Of Sin

When a confession of sin is not used in the Entrance and will not be used as an examination of conscience (before the Table prayers), a confession may be used at the end of the prayers of the people.

A Liturgical Example of the Confession at the End of the Prayers of the People

We pray to you also for the forgiveness of our sins.

Silence may be kept.

Leader and People:

Have mercy on us, most merciful Father;

in your compassion forgive us our sins,

known and unknown,

things done and left...
