A Pentecost Blessing

This blessing combines the themes of Easter and Pentecost and is especially appropriate for use on Pentecost Sunday.

Leader:Go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit! Proclaim the gospel throughout the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness in the power of the kingdom and with deeds of justice and mercy.

People:We are sent in the name and power of the Lord!

Leader:May the God who raised Jesus from the dead bless you.

People:Amen.

Leader:May the God to whom our Lord ascended make his face shine...
